Daily care and maintenance for your camping toilet

A Thetford Porta Potti consists of two parts. A top tank with the fresh water for flushing and a bottom tank into which the waste water is washed for storage and dilution. For the daily use of the fresh water tank, we recommend using Aqua Rinse concentrated, which is a pink toilet chemical that prevents limescale build up and ensures a smoother flush and pleasant fragrance.

For the daily care of the waste holding tank, we recommend using any products from our Aqua Kem Blue line. This toilet fluid controls any odour, reduces gas build up and liquefies the waste. Which makes emptying your portable toilet much more pleasant.

To ensure a long lifespan of your beloved chemical toilet, we developed the Duo Tank Cleaner for periodical cleaning. Use this product 2-3 times a year to remove limescale, encrusting and grease deposits.

All models are fully functional between +1 and 60C. The products can be stored at -40 +60C.

All Porta Potti’s are fully functional with a load of 120 kg during normal use.

The difference is that the bellow pump is a simple pump that needs to be pushed in order to flush. The piston pump is a more powerful pump that is easy to operate by pulling it up.
