The Mobile Holding Tank can be purchased via the local RV dealer. Delivery may take around 3 to 4 weeks because the local dealer needs to order the tank from Thetford or the local wholesaler. 

To discharge your iNDUS wastewater into the Mobile Holding Tank, follow the next steps:

  1. Take out the discharge device and unwind the hose.
  2. Turn off the green cap of the mobile holding tank.
  3. Place the discharge device directly above the mobile holding tank.
  4. Press the button on the handle to unlock the discharge device.
  5. Push the blue button on the discharge control panel to start the discharge cycle.
  6. Stop the discharge process by pressing the blue button again as soon as the level indicator on the tank turns red.
  7. Press the button on the handle again to lock the discharge device.
  8. Place the discharge device back in the discharge holder.
  9. Empty the mobile holding tank to an appropriate discharge location.

Cleaning and maintenance

Thetford recommends to use the cleaning additive once every year (on average use of the RV of 6 weeks per year). 
Depending on the actual duration and intensity of use of the iNDUS system (e.g. degree of pollution of the tanks/tubing) the cleaning advice may be scaled up to more frequent use of the cleaning product. The best results are achieved when iNDUS Cleaning & Storage additive is used 2-3 times a year and it may prolong the life span of the iNDUS system.

  1. Run a cleaning cycle as described above in the periodical cleaning steps
  2. Add a second dose of 200 ml to the empty grey water tank via the sink and add 16 litres of fresh water
  3. Open the Thetford app and connect with iNDUS
  4.  Activate the storage process
  5. Wait for at least 15 minutes
  6. Run the storage discharge cycle at a designated area
  7. Ready for storage

If the vehicle is stored below 0°C, please open the drains. Your vehicle is immediately ready for use after the storage period. If the drains were opened, please close them before use.

The iNDUS Cleaning & Storage additive can be purchased in the webshop of the iNDUS mobile app. In the future, iNDUS additives are expected to become available via local RV dealers.

Only when the vehicle is stored for a longer period. Follow the next steps for storage:

  1. Run a cleaning cycle as described in the cleaning process. (leave the cartridges ABC out).
  2. Add a second dose of 200 ml to the empty grey water tank via the sink and add 16 L of freshwater.
  3. Open the Thetford app and connect with iNDUS.
  4. Activate the storage process.
  5. Wait for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Run (winter) storage discharge cycle at a designated area.
  7. Ready for storage. If the vehicle is stored below 0°C, please open drains. Your vehicle is directly ready for use after the storage period. In case drains were opened, please close them before use. Store this product in a cool, dry place that is shielded from direct sunlight, and at a temperature above -5 °C. The effectiveness of this product is guaranteed until the date shown on this packaging. Do not use in mobile toilets with a removable waste-holding tank or in the grey water tank of a vehicle without an iNDUS sanitation system.

The iNDUS system might need to be cleaned. In that case, follow the next steps for cleaning:

  1. Make sure all tanks are empty or run a discharge cycle.
  2. Fill the freshwater tank and remove the cartridges (ABC) from the dosing unit.
  3.  Add 200 ml Additive to the empty greywater tank via the sink, and flush with fresh water until the tank is full.
  4. Install the Thetford app and connect with iNDUS.
  5. Activate the cleaning process in the app. 6) Wait for 12-24 hours.
  6. Run discharge cycle at a designated area.
  7. Place the cartridges (ABC) back in the dosing unit. Best results when used 2 times per year. Store this product in a cool, dry place that is shielded from direct sunlight, and at a temperature above -5 °C. The effectiveness of this product is guaranteed until the date shown on this packaging. Do not use in mobile toilets with a removable waste-holding tank or in the greywater tank of a vehicle without an iNDUS sanitation system.

Each cartridge is provided with a transparent strip on the front of the bottle through which you can see the remaining level.

A cartridge set will last for an average of 28 days of use. Individual users can deviate from the average use scenario, which means that cartridges may last for a longer or shorter time and that one cartridge may last longer than the other.

The iNDUS system can NOT be used with other additives such as the ones used in cassette toilet systems.

The iNDUS app will notify you when action is required, including warning signals for on-time purchasing of new cartridges.

Discharge locations are provided in the iNDUS App showing Campsites, Motor Home parkings and Service Areas with both blackwater and greywater discharge facilities. This app provides over 25.000 locations but does not have 100% coverage.

Yes. For these occasions, a 19 litres iNDUS Mobile Holding Tank is available. iNDUS can be discharged into this tank, after which the tank can be emptied at the grey water discharge spot or at a designated location. You can order the iNDUS Mobile Holding tank via the local RV Dealer for the recommended retail price of € 175,99.

The discharge device is used to empty both your black water and grey water tank in one go. During this discharge cycle, the toilet and the tanks are rinsed automatically. To discharge your iNDUS wastewater, follow the next steps:

  1. Open the storage door and rotate the discharge device holder out.
  2. Pull the handle of the discharge device up.
  3. Take out the discharge device and unwind the hose and place the discharge device directly above the grid of the discharge location.
  4. Press the handle to unlock the discharge device.
  5. Push the blue button on the discharge control panel to start the discharge cycle.
  6. Wait for all the wastewater to be pumped out. The discharge cycle is ready when the blue light on the discharge control panel turns off. To cancel the process, press the discharge button again (and the light will turn off).
  7. Press the handle again to lock the discharge device. 
  8. Place the discharge device back in the holder and rotate it so that the hose coils around it.
  9. Fold the handle of the discharge device.</p>
  10. Slide the discharge device holder into the storage and close the storage door.

The iNDUS app provides real-time information on the grey water and black water tanks levels and (optional) freshwater tank levels and gives warning signals for on-time discharging.
