Kaitlin Wise-Roberson

Kaitlin is the Controller at Thetford, bringing a wealth of experience in accounting and finance from her extensive career in the construction and automotive manufacturing industries. With a strong foundation as an Accounting Manager and Controller, she has honed her skills in various facets of financial management.

Drawn to her current position by the promise of growth and learning opportunities, Kaitlin values the strong female leadership within the RV industry, particularly through organizations like the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA). She finds that her professional skills align perfectly with the demands of her role, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to the team.

Kaitlin’s journey has not been without challenges. Early in her career, she adeptly balanced full-time work while being a full-time single parent, a testament to her resilience and determination. In her current role, she manages the accounting team, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, credit control, cash forecasting, month-end close procedures, cost accounting, liquidity, and weekly financial reporting.

What excites Kaitlin most about her work at Thetford is the collaborative spirit of her team. The different departments consistently bridge gaps and work together to achieve common goals, creating a positive and productive work environment.

Her areas of expertise encompass all aspects of accounting and finance, and over the years, Kaitlin has diligently developed her leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, and communication skills. As an Adapter, according to her Predictive Index assessment, she thrives in working with diverse personalities and has fine-tuned her communication abilities to be the best manager she can be. Kaitlin prioritizes open and honest relationships with her teammates, fostering an environment where collaboration and teamwork are encouraged.

Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She is happily married to her husband, Eric, and their daughter, Finley, is the absolute light of her life. As a dedicated PTO Vice President for several years, she is actively involved in her daughter’s school community. Kaitlin also has a passion for travel and shares her home with six rescue cats, reflecting her love for animals.

A fun fact that might surprise people is that Kaitlin initially pursued a degree in Nursing when she started college—until the sight of blood and needles made her feel faint! Today, she is proud to have found her calling in accounting and finance, where she continues to thrive and make an impact.
