OEM Sales Manager
James brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic career path to his role as OEM Sales Manager at Thetford. After earning his degree in Management, he began working in his family’s manufacturing business, traveling throughout the Southeast and Midwest selling conversion vans. When the great recession led to the closure of the family business, James pivoted into the RV supplier industry, moving from inside sales to an outside representative role. His career continued to evolve, from an account manager for a family-owned supplier to a product sourcing and product manager after a company acquisition by Patrick Industries.
Before joining Thetford, James served as National Sales Manager for a tier 1 automotive supplier with global operations. Now, as the OEM Sales Manager, he is responsible for leading the OEM Sales Team, managing forecasting and pricing, and driving revenue growth—all with a focus on building strong customer relationships and managing a talented team.
James’s journey has been shaped by overcoming significant challenges, including the closure of his family’s business, where he had been preparing to take over operations. That experience taught him resilience and adaptability, which he now applies daily in his current role.
What excites James most about his work at Thetford is the fun, yet hard-working culture of his team. With expertise in problem-solving, business operations, and sales management, James brings a unique perspective to his leadership role, shaped by his wide-ranging experiences in manufacturing and leading diverse teams.
Outside of work, James enjoys woodworking and refinishing old furniture. He is also an avid reader. One surprising fact about James? He was a state-ranked tennis player and competed regionally, earning a top 1000 USTA tennis ranking!
