Cleaning and maintenance

Yes it is possible for holding tank contents to freeze. Use RV antifreeze in both the black and grey water tanks. It is compatible with all Thetford holding tank products.

Empty your waste-holding tank every 3 – 5 days (depending on the waste-holding tank additive you use). Extremely hot weather and longer retention time may require additional treatment.

Various problems may cause improper level sensor readings. Not all sensor problems can be corrected by the use of LGC. LGC restores level sensors that fail due to tissue and sludge build up.

Enzymes accelerate the natural breakdown of waste and toilet paper in the holding tank to reduce the malodors and prevent clogging during discharge.

To clean gauges, choose a warm day, above 75F, pour 1/2 of bottle of LGC into 40 gallon black holding tank through toilet opening. Pour 1/2 of bottle of LGC into 40 gallon grey holding tank through sink or shower drain. Flush the drain with running water and fill the tank. Mix by driving around and let it sit 24 hours. Drive vehicle again to loosen deposits. Empty and rinse holding tank. Product’s effectiveness doubles between 75 and 85 F. DO NOT use in freshwater tank.

Yes, you can add more than the recommended dose of 8-oz per 40 gallons of holding tank capacity. The products cannot harm a treatment system.
